Just a few minutes from Tremblant resort, come experience a rare, and truly authentic Canadian winter activity…dogsledding. Our Tremblant dog sledding tour starts as soon as you are greeted at the kennel by our 30 excited dogs. The moment you arrive at our kennel, you’ll understand why dogsledding captivates people. Thirty dogs start barking and jumping with excitement—they know what’s coming, and their enthusiasm is contagious.

Before the dog sled departure, our guides will decide positions on the sleds: if you have a particular position request, please make it known to our guide when you arrive. Adults will be teamed up for the dogsledding excursion: there will be 1 driver and 1 or 2 passengers per sled. Adults will usually, but not always, drive their own dog sled with an adult passenger. Passengers and drivers from the same sled can switch places half way through the excursion. Children may be required to ride as passengers on the guides’ sleds or ride on parents’ sled.

You need to know that dogsledding is a sport. You’ll be standing, running alongside your sled, shifting your weight through turns, and using the brake to control speed. It’s not a passive ride—you’re part of the team. Our guides explain everything during the safety briefing, including how to communicate with your dogs.

When your group is ready and everyone has their spots on the sleds, you’ll get a short safety briefing to learn how to command the dogs for your dogsledding adventure. Then you’re off into the trails!

You’ll drive your dog sled through valley trails near Mont-Tremblant, surrounded by a pine forest and stunning views of the mountain. The dogsledding tour passes through fields and forest several times. We’re n the trail for about 1 hour.

The best part of the dogsledding experience might be what happens after the ride. You’ll spend time with the sled dogs, giving them treats and attention—they’ve earned it. Just like people, these athlete dogs thrive on praise and affection after a good run. It’s their emotional reward, and watching them enjoy the attention shows you how much they love this work.

After the dogsledding ride, we’ll serve hot chocolate and cookies while you chat with guides about the dogs and dogsledding. Ask questions—our team loves sharing what they know about these incredible animals and this traditional Canadian way of getting around.

Our dogsled activities strictly adhere to provincial and federal regulations, undergoing regular inspections. Know more >

This was an incredible experience! Our family had so much fun and it was the highlight of our trip. The guides and instructors were so friendly, kind, welcoming, and helpful, and so knowledgeable- and it was so fun to learn from them about dogsledding and each of the dogs! What to expect

  • Duration: Approximately 1h on the trails

FAQ - Diable Adventure

When should I reserve?

These are very popular activities. Reservations for weekends and vacations should be made 1 to 2 weeks in advance. For any other time, reservations should be made a few days in advance.

How is this dogsledding activity different from the others?

See our Dogsled Comparison Table.

How should we be dressed?

Consult our What to wear information page.

How many people can go in one sled?

We usually configure 2 adults per sled (one driver, one passenger). Children between 3 and 11 years old go with the guides for safety reasons. Configuration also depends on the weather and snow conditions.

Is it hard on the dogs?

These dogs are working dogs who are bred to pull and run in a cold environment. They are trained and fed properly to be able to do it well. They like pulling a sled as much as a retriever likes fetching a stick. This will become obvious just before the ride starts. Feel free to ask your guide anything you want about sled dogs… learning about the dogs is an interesting part of the experience.

Do we drive our own sled?

Yes, participants that are 16 years old and over will have a chance to drive the sled, depending on the conditions.

Can we pet the dogs?

Yes, at the end of the ride, you get to pet and reward them.

Is it hard?

This activity can be strenuous for drivers. As a driver you are part of the team, so when the climbs are steep the driver will have to get off and walk, jog or even help push the sled.
