Our certified guides/instructors will teach you the safety protocols, belay techniques and basic ice climbing techniques. This Tremblant ice climbing initiation. is designed for beginners and no climbing experience is necessary.

Know Before you Book

8 years minimum.
Waist size: 58-107 cm (23-42 in). Thighs: 43-71 cm (17-28 in).
2 participants required to start the class (You will be reimburse the difference on site if you are not alone on the tour).

Max 250 lbs (113 kg).
Children under 13 must be accompanied by a person 13 years + (participant or not).
Pregnant women cannot participate.

Know Before you Go

Please dress appropriately for ice climbing. Ask if you are unsure or see our What to wear section.

You must bring your own alpine ski boots.

15% OFF offered for Ice climbing – Montagne d’argent, conditional to having completed our Ice Climbing – Initiation activity.
Tremblant Climbing School is at the Tremblant ski resort. We are situated less than a 2-hour drive from Montreal and Ottawa.
We recommend taking the 13h00 departure on very cold days. It’s usually a bit warmer in the afternoon.
It is easy to tear your pants on the crampons, so be careful OR bring old snow pants.
For groups of 9 people or more, the ice climbing duration is 1h30.
For guests who choose to reserve in advance (recommended), directions to meeting points will be provided in your reservation by email. Otherwise, directions will be handed to you when you reserve at The Activity Centre.
Prices do not include taxes or mandatory resort royalty of 3% and may be subject to change without notice.

It was AMAZING! Max was wonderful! He was informative, fun & emphasized safety. He made the experience memorable. I didn’t realize that ski boots are REQUIRED because of the ‘crampits’ used to climb. FORTUNATELY, we were able to rent ones (next door) & save the day. Though I initially thought the front desk guy to be ‘pushy’ (would now let us to cancel or reschedule since ), I now find it ‘encouraging’ since he directed us to rent ski boots then catch up with the group. We climbed to our hearts’ delight & were exhausted. Despite the recent rains, Max found for us nice spots to climb; two areas adjacent to each other that were different levels of challenge. Our photos captured well our epic experience! We were able to view our climbing areas from the ski gondolas which was a bonus during our ski/snowboarding days in Tremblant 🤩

J'ai adoré l'activité mais nous sommes très déçus de la guide. L'activité se déroule sur une petite cascade gelée, c'est vraiment bien et la vue au sommet est tellement belle!! The ice climbing is done on a natural frozen waterfall just beneath the gondola on the resort. We meet at The Activity Centre and walk up from there.
